Why we and our embroidered animal hats exist

in a non-existential way

Australia has some of the most special wildlife on earth, but with bushfires and habitat loss, they need help year-round.

I wanted to build something that does good, looks good and makes people smile. So I started hand-drawing designs and donating part of every sale to WIRES.

The hats are silly, but who wants to wear some random brand logo without any personality?

What is Chaotic Critters

We make embroidered animal hats for people whose personality can't be contained by plain designs. If you make questionable life choices or want hats that match your vibe, we're for you.
Are the designs printed or embroidered?

Embroidered. If it's not stitched, I'm not interested. It's got the benefit of making the designs last longer and they're high quality, so they won't get ruined after one emotional breakdown.
What kinds of hats do you sell?

A bit of everything really. There are embroidered bucket hats, cord caps, animal designs and funny ones that may or may not start conversations in the street.
Do you ship in Australia?

Of course! Chaotic Critters is an Australian-owned small business and all the designs are hand-drawn. They're shipped same or next-day via Aus Post.

What makes Chaotic Critters different?

We don't do boring. Every design is made to feel like it has a personality disorder that matches yours. There are a few chaos levels, so you'll find some that are wholesome while other designs are unhinged.
What size are yours hats?

Both the embroidered corduroy caps and bucket hats are 58cm in circumference. They're not a good fit for kids, but neither is our humour.
How do I look after my hat?

You'll be happy to know they keep their shape when they're wet (through rain or tears, you decide). Spot clean them and don't use a dryer. You can air-dry them, but make sure you shape them first so they maintain the shape.
